CoJMC Dean Will Norton Jr.

Greetings! My name is Will Norton, Jr., dean at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Like so many journalists, I have taken the leap into blogging.

In this blog I will write about my two great passions: Journalism and Education.

The College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is blessed with 850 of the nation’s top journalism students. Don’t be surprised if I blog about our college, our fine faculty and staff and the issues we face in today’s world.

Since 1990, I have served as president of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (2000-2001) and as president of the Association of Schools of Journalism and Mass Communications (1989 to 1990).

As vice president of the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications, I have had the pleasure of visiting more than 70 campuses and nearly 50 nations. I will also blog about journalism in the places I frequently visit during my travels.

I am currently a member of the Board of the Kosovo Institute of Journalism and Communications in Pristina, Kosovo and a visiting lecturer at the Graduate School of Journalism and Communications at Addis Ababa University.

I invite your comments and welcome you to our college.
